II. Competition Format
Online/Offline
Singaporean candidates will participate in the offline exam.
Candidates from other regions will participate in the online exam.
III. Competition Level
Grades 1-12

IV. Competition Information
The SASMO exam is open to all students in Primary 1-6, Secondary 1-4, and Junior College 1-2 (International School 1-11/12 (JC) students).
Each level's test lasts 90 minutes.
Each level has a different test paper containing two sections with a total of 25 questions:
V. Test Format
Section A: 15 multiple-choice questions (2 points/question) Total score: 30 points, 2 points for a correct answer, 0 points for no answer, 1 point deducted for an incorrect answer;
Section B: 10 short-answer questions (4 points/question) Total score: 40 points, 4 points for a correct answer, 0 points for no answer, 0 points for an incorrect answer;
Total score: 85 points. To avoid negative scores, students are given a starting score of 15 points.
